Located on the campus of Twin Oaks Academy, Twin Oaks Vocational II is a behavioral program. Twin Oaks Vocational II specifically serves the younger male offenders aged 10-14. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Twin Oaks Vocational 14-18 is located on the campus of Twin Oaks Academy and uses the Academy's complete resources. Twin Oaks Vocational 14-18 is a behavioral program that emphasizes academics and GED preparation, vocational training, job placement skills, and offender accountability. The program also offers substance abuse services, anger management, family counseling, and victim awareness programming. The average length of stay is 6 to 9 months. The program provides uniforms. BHOS funding is available for all beds
The RAM-C (Residential Alternative for the Mentally Challenged) program serves offenders with Developmental Disabilities. The average length of stay is between 9 to 12 months. The eligibility criterion requires a diagnosis of mild to moderate mental retardation with a documented IQ of 40-71. RAM-C maintains self-contained educational classrooms with teachers certified in Exceptional Student Education. A behavior management system specially designed for this population incorporates functional analysis and a high reinforcement schedule. The program emphasizes vocational training, particularly in the areas of automotive skills. It also provides training in social skill development, anger management, and life skills.
