safety focused
The safety and well-being of children is the preeminent focus of our approach. Our primary goal to promote family safety is to strengthen and preserve families by equipping them with the skills and supports necessary for the healthy development of children.
trauma-informed
Trauma-Informed Care recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role trauma may play in an individuals response to treatment and service provision. Gaining a better understanding of how trauma impacts the children and families we serve, allows us to more effectively engage and deliver our services.
Family centered
Family centered practices focuses on the needs and welfare of children within the context of their families and communities. It recognizes the strengths of family relationships and builds upon these strengths to enhance the family's capacity to care for and protect their children.
valued partnerships
People are at the center of what we do. There are many perspectives engaged in the child welfare system and each person plays a vital role in the success of the families we serve. Valuing all of our stakeholders' perspectives builds trust. And trust is at the core of relationships that lead to strong partnerships.
